Laser Skin Resurfacing

Fractional laser skin resurfacing:

You may NOT be a good candidate for laser skin resurfacing if you have:

• Active acne
• Deep wrinkles
• Very dark skin
• Excessive or sagging skin

If you are determined to be a candidate, you and your doctor will discuss if you are a candidate for ablation (more intense skin removal) or non-ablation or fractional (less intense).

Patients will experience varying levels of discomfort, depending on the depth of the treatment. Patients who have more intense skin removal will be more uncomfortable, but depending on the intensity, your doctor might administer an anesthetic.

In this procedure, FDA-approved lasers are used to target damaged areas of the skin and induce the production of new, undamaged skin cells – resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Fractional resurfacing treatments are repeated for 4-5 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

While all individuals heal differently, most patients say it feels like a mild sunburn. You’ll have some redness and swelling. You may also experience itching or stinging for a few days after the procedure. Complete healing time is determined by how intense the skin removal process is.

Yes! We highly suggest pairing it with other treatments such as Botox or Juvéderm for optimal results.
