Brow Lift

During the consultation, your doctor will advise on how best to achieve your goals. There are many factors that go into this decision, such as hairline, gender, and whether this procedure alone will help you reach your goals or if there are other procedures that you will need.

Browpexy is performed when patients don’t need a full brow lift. In a brow lift, the incision is made around your hairline area and refreshes the forehead and brow, whereas browpexy targets the area between upper eyelid and eyebrow specifically. Browpexy is typically performed during an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty).

In some cases, a brow lift may involve incisions in the hairline to remove excess skin and tissue, an endoscopic procedure, or a temporal approach. In some cases, your doctor may recommend Botox instead of, or in addition to, your brow lift procedure. The frown muscles that make the “elevens” are often removed to achieve a more permanent wrinkle reduction.

A traditional brow lift can be achieved by making an incision that is hidden by the hairline, but other techniques may be used depending on things like the patients risk for hairline recession, or if the patient would also like to treat crow’s feet.

While the exact healing time varies depending on the patient, a typical recovery period is between one and two weeks. In many cases, patients do experience swelling and bruising after the procedure. We recommend using a cold compress to help reduce the swelling. Your doctor will go over recovery and any specific instructions that you may need.
